Putting into ink those precious moments when just you and your little one get to grips with your first feeds. Those awkward little latches, trying to figure out the correct hold, the relentless advice, working out how to let down your milk, walking the floors and endless feeds to up supply, all worth it in a second with the sound of those little gulps. That little belly being nourished with every fed. Those little fingers wrapped around your finger as they drift of into a sleep comforted and safe in their mummies arms. That golden moment when you realise you are doing it. you are writing your own story your way, just you and your little precious bundle one feed at a time.
I penned this little sketch on my hospital bed whilst unwell pregnant waiting for my little girl in a very uncertain time (covid) and this little moment was the moment I longed for the most.
I have teamed with the gorgeous EvesLittleTreasures to create the matching necklace for this print. When she asked me if I would like to create something with breastfeeding/motherhood in mind it was a very easy yes! Straight away I knew I would use this little sketch. I think it is the perfect gift for a new mother who is feeding and its one that would last a lifetime .
